Awards

Welcome to the Awards page!

medalHere at Williamstown High School we are immensely proud of all our students and athletes. However, this page is where we like to recognize those student athletes that stand out both in the classroom and on the field. Here you will find information on Braves Boys' Soccer student athletes who have received special honors and awards from various groups and organizations.

In addition to various awards that may be presented throughout the season there are two very special awards that are awarded each season.

The Michael R. Lang Memorial Scholarship Award was created to honor the memory of Braves soccer player Michael Lang. Each year the scholarship is awarded to a graduating boys' soccer player(s) at Senior Awards Night. The recipient is someone who has displayed courage, passion and sportsmanship throughout their career as a Williamstown student athlete.

The George Carini Memorial Award was created to honor the memory of George Carini, a pioneer of the soccer program at Williamstown High School. George was a player on the first Braves soccer team in 1969. He was instrumental in the founding of the program. George later returned to Williamstown as a foreign language teacher and soccer coach. Each year the award is given to a male and female soccer player who demonstrates passion and dedication to the sport and their team.
