PowerSchool Introduction
  • PowerSchool is an easy to use, web-based student information system. It is intended to provide students, parents/guardians and teachers with a tool to communicate student performance, but remember that any questions you have about your son or daughter can still be answered by emailing or calling teachers, counselors, or administrators.
  • You may get into PowerSchool Parent Portal from any place with Internet access. PowerSchool access for students and parents will allow monitoring of progress and performance in school. WHS uses PowerSchool for grades, attendance and class information.

4
Purpose
  • Provide additional means of communication about students’ academic performance to parents/guardians/students

  • It is not a replacement for other forms of communication or official student records (i.e. Report Cards, Transcripts).

5
Parent Access Guidelines
  • PowerSchool assigns user ID and password.

  • Parent/Guardian and Student User ID’s and Password information for freshman and new students are mailed home around the 4th week in August.

  • Parents are to distribute the Student User ID and Password to their child.

Parent Access Guidelines continued
  • Student Access –

  • Students attending WHS may also access the Parent Access Portal using the user ID and password provided to them by the Parent.  Using the PowerSchool system the student would have access to his/her information including schedules, grades, attendance, and discipline.

  • Web access is a privilege and can be revoked.

The district will not be responsible in the event the account(s) become possession of another person other than the parent/guardian/student.

  • If a Parent/Guardian or Student believes their password has been compromised, they may contact Linda DiRienzi at 856-262-2392 or ldirienzi@monroetwp.k12.nj to have the password changed.
