2008 - 2009

Objective #1

By June 2009, the combined and aggregated HSPA scores of students in Grade 12 in the Special Education subgroup at Williamstown High School will meet or exceed the state standard on the Mathematics portion of the High School Proficiency Assessment.  Achievement of this objective will represent a 10% decrease rate of partially proficient (safe harbor) over the 2008 Mathematics scores for this subgroup, or fall within the 75% band of AYP to meet safe harbor.

 

Objective #2

By June 2009, the combined and aggregated HSPA scores of students in Grade 12 in the African American subgroup at Williamstown High School will meet or exceed the state standard on the Mathematics portion of the High School Proficiency Assessment.  Achievement of this objective will represent a 10% decrease rate of partially proficient (safe harbor) over the 2008 Mathematics scores for this subgroup, or fall within the 75% band of AYP to meet safe harbor.

 

Objective #3

By June 2009, the combined and aggregated HSPA scores of students in Grade 12 in the Economically Disadvantaged subgroup at Williamstown High School will meet or exceed the state standard on the Mathematics portion of the High School Proficiency Assessment.  Achievement of this objective will represent a 10% decrease rate of partially proficient (safe harbor) over the 2008 Mathematics scores for this subgroup, or fall within the 75% band of AYP to meet safe harbor.

 

Objective #4

By June 2009, the combined and aggregated HSPA scores of students in Grade 12 in the Special Education subgroup at Williamstown High School will meet or exceed the state standard on the Language Arts Literacy portion of the High School Proficiency Assessment.  Achievement of this objective will represent a 10% decrease rate of partially proficient (safe harbor) over the 2008 Language Arts Literacy scores for this subgroup, or fall within the 75% band of AYP to meet safe harbor.

 

Objective #5

Objective #7

Collect, analyze, and interpret data from the SLC pilot and determine expansion, improvement, or adjustment of the program.

 

Objective #8

To raise the awareness of literacy at WHS by increasing the implementation of literacy strategies in ALL content areas

 

Objective #9

To raise the verbal and mathematics SAT scores to meet or exceed state averages.

 

Objective #10

Improve student vocabulary by creating lists of content-specific vocabulary words per course and integrating measurement of achievement through classroom assessments

 

Objective #11

To support the Co-Teaching initiative begun in the 2007-2008 school year through continued professional development, classroom evaluations, and quarterly meetings to discuss successes, challenges, and best practices.
