Important Health Message
from the Superintendent

This letter is to inform you that several students in our district have been diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) which is a contagious viral illness. We wanted you to be aware so should you or your child develop symptoms of the disease, you may choose to contact your Health Care Provider for guidance.

Attached is additional information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for your further reference.  Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s school nurse with additional questions or concerns.

MTPS Launches OnCourse

Monroe Township Public Schools is excited to unveil a web-based system that will help to connect parents, teachers, and administrators around the activities of the classroom.

This system, called the OnCourse Lesson Planner, will help teachers to develop and collaborate on their daily lesson plans and align them to the most current national standards. 

In addition to lesson plans, teachers will also use this system to create a Classroom Website, and make homework assignments accessible through the Homework Portal.

PENNY HARVEST

Did you know there are over $2 billion of unused pennies in homes across America? Many people wonder what to do with those jars full of pennies gathering dust. The answer? Give them to young people during the Penny Harvest! 

This year, Williamstown Middle School will participate in the second annual Penny Harvest. 

Jan.12th - Feb.17th

All collected pennies are given back to the students to use to meet community needs as they see fit.

Lawn Sign Fundraiser

lawn sign graphicParents of Kindergarten, Fourth Grade, Eighth Grade and High School Seniors, you can show your support as your students graduate or "move up" by displaying a lawn sign in front of your home.  Proceeds from the signs will go to support Project Graduation.  Every student will one day benefit from this drug, smoke and alcohol free event held on graduation night for high school seniors.
