Welcome!

Oak Knoll Elementary School is in the heart of Monroe Township, and in the hearts of those who are a part of the school community.  Located on Bodine Avenue for the last 85 years, this old school with the new look has much to offer.  In addition to many new classrooms, a state of the art room for art, and a new entrance that provides access to a new main office with a security system, the dedicated, professional staff expresses genuine concern for the students that is paramount to the positive energy that resonates throughout the school. 

Oak Knoll houses students in grades Kindergarten through 4, of varying abilities, nationalities, interests, and cultural backgrounds; all of which enrich and enhance the school culture. By offering a variety of experiences for students, the staff cultivates the love of learning, teamwork, and being a part of the larger community.  To that end, Oak Knoll offers a variety of extra-curricular opportunities including, but not limited to, Chorus, Art Club, Safety Patrol, Caring Kids Club, Character Education, Student Council, Welcome Committee, and ROOKES (Runners of Oak Knoll Elementary School.)

As I reflect on my time at Oak Knoll, I do so with great pride, humility, and gratitude.  I have certainly come to believe that we, at Oak Knoll, provide our students with a solid educational foundation, we promote love for learning, and we build academic confidence to support and create opportunities for their successful futures. I am constantly reminded of the wonderful educators and staff of which the Oak Knoll educational community is comprised- teachers who work long hours (even on weekends), staff who constantly engage in on-going professional development and learning, others who volunteer to assist with the running club, and those who helped make our first annual variety show a huge success. Many staff also support the PTO, school and community activities-- all of this reaffirms what a committed, dedicated, and passionate staff I am fortunate to work with at Oak Knoll.

Another critical aspect leading to the success of Oak Knoll is the group of dedicated and committed parents and guardians who consistently support the students, programs and staff.  We welcome parents to participate with school activities, or to join the parent volunteer organization.  The entire community of Oak Knoll-students, teachers, staff, and parents-shares in the pride and successes that exist at Oak Knoll Elementary School.   Hope, optimism, and determination permeate all we do, as the staff conveys a deep commitment to helping each child achieve his/her full potential.
