The New Jersey Department of Health mandates that all children 6 months of age and older who are enrolled in preschool receive one dose of the flu vaccine.
The flu vaccine is due by November 30th of each school year. (New Jersey Administrative Code N.J.A.C 8:57-4.)

Preschool Readiness
- Provide opportunities for your child to play with other children in a social setting.
- Take time to read and explore books.
- Talk with your child. Practice asking and answering questions.
- Make a game out of practicing self-help skills. For example, you could practice taking off and putting on your jacket. If your child is bringing their lunch to school, you could have a picnic before school starts and have them practice unzipping their lunchbox.
