Important Update Regarding Oak Knoll School Bus Accident

Monroe Township School Community:

This afternoon, a school bus traveling from Oak Knoll Elementary School was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Tuckahoe Road.

The driver and students riding the bus were evaluated at the scene by the Monroe Township Police Department (MTPD) and first responders. A number of students were transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Parents of students riding the bus were immediately notified.

The students were evaluated by medical staff at the hospital and subsequently released. Thankfully, the driver and students are safe and healthy.

We would like to thank our transportation staff, STA staff, administration, MTPD, first responders, and the hospital’s medical team for providing immediate care and support.

The district will have counselors available at Oak Knoll Elementary School tomorrow to assist students as needed.
