Getting Started with ParentSquare

 

Monroe Township Public Schools is now using ParentSquare for school communication, primarily through email, text, and app notifications.

 

ParentSquare automatically creates an account for each parent using their preferred email address and phone number. 

We encourage parents to download the mobile app, and update their notification preferences to choose when and how they’d like to be notified.

Our district uses ParentSquare as its main communication platform, delivering updates through email, text, and app notifications. Accounts are automatically created for each parent by syncing with PowerSchool, using the contact information on file.

We encourage parents to log in, download the mobile app, and customize their notification settings to choose when and how they receive messages.

  • On the app, enter your email address or mobile phone number—this should match the contact information listed in PowerSchool.

    On a web browser, click “Sign In,” then enter your email or phone number under the “Register” section and select “Go.”

     

    If your information isn’t recognized, you can follow the prompts to request access or contact your school office to have your details updated.

  • ParentSquare lets you customize how and when you receive notifications for each school.

    • Instant: Receive all notifications in real time
    • Digest: Receive direct messages and urgent alerts right away, with non-urgent updates bundled into a daily summary (recommended)
  • Yes. All parents already have a ParentSquare account. Even if you don’t activate it, you’ll still receive a daily email digest when messages are sent. In emergency situations, phone calls will also be sent.

  • You can update your preferred language in your account settings. Once selected, ParentSquare will automatically translate incoming messages—and even messages you send—into your chosen language.
